Dear valued members and staff of OMR,

We have kept quiet about this but in the next week or so we will complete a merger with www.fantasyloungesports.com. This is a friendly merger, not a takeover so don’t take this the wrong way. Bram and I decided to accept this merger because traffic on OMR has steadily declined over the past few months and there are too many new fantasy sports sites out there these days so it’s very hard to compete. By merging with an already well established site with tons of members, we will once again be the best. Bram and I will both be Administrators at the Lounge so it’s not like we are losing any power. In fact, we will also be the head Webmasters and we are putting together a top of the line template as we speak for the Fantasy Lounge main site.

The terms of this deal are the following:

- Bram and I become Administrators and Webmasters at The Fantasy Lounge. We will be getting rid of their current main site and replacing it with a top of the line template made for fantasy sports sites.

- We will be closing the OMR site and the OMR forum. The Fantasy Lounge has a forum of over 6,000 members and all 4 sports are covered. These boards are very active and you can always expect to get immediate advice and many opinions.

- All current members of the OMR Forums will have their post counts conserved if they join The Fantasy Lounge forums under the same username that they are currently using in the OMR forums.

- All OMR writers and guest writers are all still able to write for us regularly.

I will repeat this merger will happen sometime next week when our site technician can make the switch for the guys over at The Fantasy Lounge. Just to keep things clear, all of our articles and features will be conserved over at their main site that includes our hockey stuff as well. So basically you’re adding our content with their content plus a forum of over 6,000 great people. This merger will benefit us all and we will definitely become one of the best fantasy sport sites out there. There will be a message posted on the OMR main site warning everyone of possible downtime the day of the merger.
